This is what 2 tonnes (7 cubic yards) looks like.

Previously we would use our own small trailer to haul a small load from the mushroom factory, which is about 70 kms away. This time we hired a bin contractor. We had no idea how long it would take us to distribute throughout the gardens.

We laid on the mushroom compost to a thickness of approximately 3 inches.

There are nutrients in mushroom compost. The underlying soil in our garden is clay, which is rich in nutrients. So, the compost will help the soils friability.

It took two people 4 days to get the mushroom compost to the beds. Everyone is happy with the job!
