This part of my garden is ‘borrowed” from the City of Toronto. In exchange for weeding and watering I get to plant what I like, but nothing that will invade my neighbours’ outside space.

 

It’s my attempt at a larger scale of naturalistic planting and when viewed from street level it “borrows” views from the garden above it.

 

Last year the plot underwent a renovation of sorts. Plants that had travelled too far or grown too big were brought back to scale. Space previously reserved for test planting has now been freed-up. I’m excited to get going this year!
